Design Work,To Use Technologies Tastefully

Completely everething in this life depends on your intelegence, on your ability to think.

I  just love the Alexander Chen’s  idea about using a subway as a music instrument.

Maybe because I always have been fascinated by subway maps and maps generally. Every time before I’m going to go to some city , I make my “Design Guide”, drawings maps of the places worth to see. And than I ‘ve a feeling I know the city pretty well, even sometimes I stay only for a couple of days.

Today on superfuture.com you can read about Orson+Bodil Store Opening in Amsterdam.

I was in Amsterdam 3 weeks ago and completely accidentally run into the store because it was located very close to my hotel.

I really liked the store and had a nice conversation with the owner, the Dutch designer Alexander van Slobbe.

The funny thing was, I wanted to try this hat.

Of course, if you want to convert a building in Venice into a department store, you must not forget about a cultural program. OMA is good in it.

Well, the Fondaco dei Tedeschi is on the corner from a hotel where I usally stay for Venice Biennale. I guess, I better find a new hotel. Not so close to the culture programm…

There you will find an interesting selection of “new wave” designers, nice interior and atmosphere and the most amazing sales people and service. I really enjoyed just talking to the girls in the shops  and found out many new brands that I didn’t know before. For example Shine Blossom, a completely new french brand that tailors leather bags and accessories exclusively in luxurious colored and vintage leathers. Thanks Ingrid for that!

Design Tips, Interiors about Books

I love the way commercial interior goes nowadays: everething is really about  concepts. The borders between retail design and commercial interior don’t exist anymore.
