Pringle of Scotland has commissioned artist David Shrigley to create a humorous short animated film about life behind-the-scenes at Pringle to celebrate the brands return to Milan Fashion Week. Made my day.
T-shirt design by Makss L.L.:
Do you think it’s Isabel Marant or someone who’s making copies of her?
Nope, it’s an original T-shirt design by my oldest son. He made these t-shirts in August 2011, while he was in the summer camp LABA DABA in Latvia.
here is a video from the summer camp :
When he came back, he offered these 3 T-shirt for a prize 150 NOK for each. Than I didn’t realized that my kid is a trend forecaster.
So, he was before Isabel Marant SS 2012 was showed in Paris.
Now I’m on the top of the wave with my original T-shirts and when I check prices on net-a-porter.com, I think, I made an incredibly good deal.

PROJECT : Zaza Kids Oslo
INTERIOR CONCEPT/ DESCRIPTION:
Zaza Couture is a children’s fashion label, own by Tereze Gruntmanis, Latvian born designer, who lives in Dallas, the USA. Although Zaza Couture is an American brand, it’s produced in Latvia of the high quality European fabrics, that Tereze personally chooses by traveling the world and visiting European textile shows. The primary accent is always a color. Zaza has chosen the three basic colors :
lime green- 14-0452 tpx
hot pink – 17-1937 tpx
orange peel -16-1359 tpx
The Spring 2012 the first Zaza Couture’s shop Zaza Kids opened in Scandinavia. It’s located in Oslo, Norway. Since Tereze lives in Dallas, Vesma Kontere McQuillan took care of Zaza Couture visual communication strategy in Oslo. Vesma is Latvian born interior architect, who lives in Oslo.
It was a low budget project and with the main focus on Zaza’s colors and the window display. The shop owner did all construction work himself.
The window display was done by the students of Studio 3D from Westerdals School of Communication.

Since now I’m working for the Department of Commercial Interior and Visual Merchandising at the Westerdals School Of Communication, where the main focus is on retail design and interior architecture, I ‘ve developed a special interest for window decoration and visual merchandising design. It’s a very difficult area to work around, because it’s the most commercial one. Very often the all cool concepts end up just with a styling of the things that shops find difficult to sell. And it’s easily for a designer to become tacky and for window decoration to look cheap , even for the luxury brands that invest in the window decoration.
I find that the best window decoration for the moment are done by Arnold Goron for Isabel Marant. He has done the packaging’s concept and illustrations for Isabel Marant as well. Sometimes I think, that my decision to purchase something from Isabel Marant is made not because of a seasons ” must have” by her, but because of the Goron’s work. As such, the goal of visual communication designs is.
My favorite is MOLECULAR STURCTURES
Yesterday I passed by BIT, Bogstadveien 48,
my last interior project as a project leader while I was still working for Scenario Interiørarkitekter, and noticed a sticker on the window:
Awards For Design Excellence Norwegian Design Council.
Congratulations to BIT and Dinamo, Scenario Interiørarkitekter and little bit myself , since the BIT interior is a part of the new BIT’s brand.

My friend Tereze is a children’s fashion designer and the owner of the label Zaza Couture.
Yesterday, we opened the first Zaza Couture shop in Scandinavia.
Since Tereze lives in Dallas, I took care of a her visual communication strategy in Oslo. It was a low budget project and we focused mainly on Zaza’s colors and the window display. The window display was done by the students Silje Alger and Cornelia Enger Rogstad from Westerdals School of Communication.
Here are some pictures from the opening. After the party was over, Gatis Rozenfelds took some pictures of the interior as well, that I will post later.
